One has letters only, the other has a picture with the upper case letter plus 'I begin with...' to match to the lower case letter on the next card. Could also be printed on paper for children to cut out and stick in order to make a 'banner'.

At the lower level the pages have words first with symbols and then without. The words only change by different word-endings. These are for good young readers or older children of lower ability who are focusing solely on the beginnings of words. Includes suggestions.
